Sound Off - Voice Your Opinion and Share Your Experiences

Let’s congratulate the Mayor and City Council for all voicing their opinions in favor of establishing Quiet Zones throughout Gallup (2nd and 3rd Streets, Allison Road, and Mentmore Road).  All of them recognized the fact that the Quiet Zones will enhance the Quality of Life for our community as well as improve our downtown business district.

Community support in establishing Gallup Quiet Zones is extremely important.  Contact your Councilman and Mayor and let them know what you think.  Share with them your experiences concerning the never-ending Train Horn noise.  Thank them for supporting establishing Quiet Zones in our community.

Current Progress:

Continue checking our web site for current information relating to the progress the City is making in establishing our Quiet Zones.  Currently, the City Manager is filing applications with the Federal Railroad Administration notifying them of Gallup’s intent to establish QZs.
